What we say
Popular neighborhood video bar
This cruisy video bar is a regular stop for locals and vistors. In between popular music videos, watch popular TV shows (The Simpsons, Queer as Folk, Desperate Housewives, etc.) and funny TV clips with the crowd.

I didn't wash and dry my tight jeans on HOT so you people could watch television!
The non-stop music and TV videos make the clientele stare up at the screens like turkeys in the rain.

Always packed in the evenings. Standing room only but a nice crowd.

This was one of the first gay bars my friends took me to (back in the '80s), and for many years it was the only one I'd go to by myself. I could just watch the videos and not be self-conscious about being a wall-flower. Although it can be nice to come watch shows like "American Idol" and the Oscars with a crowd, the chatter from other patrons can make it hard to actually here. But then, if all I really wanted was to watch TV, I could do that at home.

I have happy warm feelings towards this place lately. There is a great bartender (with a handlebar mustache) who is very personable – a change for the MS. And the crowd seems more accessible than before. They certainly are better looking than at the other Castro holes, except possibly for 440. Anyway, drop in for their two-for-one happy hour (I always ask for a double in one glass unless I'm with a date) and partake of the eclectic videos and enticing male scenery.

Totally loved this place one early saturday evening a few weeks ago. I met up with some friends there @ 7ish for some drinks before moving on elsewhere to dance. All in all, it was really fun and I plan on returning. And yes, I am new to the area.
