Quiet bar, but wow!
On hols so visiting as many bars as poss. We went on a very quiet night but this was a big bonus as we had time to chat to John the bar man - he was a hunk and such a lovely guy would def go back just to see him!!
Now Called KoK Bar
This bar has no idea what it is doing. Chaps closed and the bar re-branded itself as KOK. Cruiser, Darker etc, etc. For one if you are going to brand a bar like this then go hard or go home. The bar is way too bright and to clean and polished to be a dark cruise bar. They have way too many gimmicks and no identity at all. I remember them once having a skinhead night. I guess it was suppose to be a nod to the German culture, but that culture even in the gay world is racist. I think the bar owner/manager has the right idea in his head, but he is not executing it well. People expect a dark cruise bar to be 1. Dark 2. Cruise 3. Seedy 4. and play some pron for Christ sake.
Great place
We were in SF for 3 days in December and went to Chaps all 3 nights. Great looking bartenders and good looking clientele.
New Place, Def Worth Checking Out!
This place is new, so it is still getting its groove, but they have strong/cheap drinks, a friendly crowd, cool atmosphere and sexy bartenders in their underwear. So, really what more could you ask for?!
