The Castro's longstanding place to dance.
Until Badlands opened, this was the only place to dance in the Castro. Even with the competition, the Cafe's large dance floor is regularly packed. Popular with both the boys and the girls, this club is spacious and even has an outdoor courtyard right in the middle of the bar (you may not even notice you stepped outside unless its a chilly night). There's often a line on weekend nights. Lately party promoters have begun special nights (like Boy Bar Fridays) to help revive the crowd here.

The Cafe is a wide open crowd, everyone is welcome and if you want to play pool, dance or just watch people go by on the balcony, you have come to right place.

Dance club in the Castro

Here's a dance club in the Castro. Quite young, but good for when you want to get up and dance and dont want to trek to the south of market clubs.

if you like hip hop and a good crowd. try mondays. it is off the hoooook. only bad thing... well not really bad because it cant be helped. it is the small dance floor. but shake what yo mama gave ya right???

the cafe is a great place to go!!! its fun , friendly, and just awsome!!!!! mondays r hip hop nights and it really goes down!!!!!

Great sense of space, great bartenders, but few bad staff...
Thursday is latin night which is such an A+. Music could be a little better on the weekends, however it's worth trying!
