Nicely decorated - that is about it. We found the staff and bartenders to be rude, the drinks weak and overpriced and the general atmosphere to be stuffy. There are MUCH better places to go to in the Castro. We waited in line for an hour and watched security let everybody they knew in the back door. Once we got inside we were very disappointed. No dance floor at all. Skip this place, especially if there is a line!

Had a great experience at Trigger last Saturday night on my birthday! If you're a local or there for a visit like me, definitely check it out. The go-go dancers & bartenders were really HOT, the drinks & service were excellent, and most importantly (in my book) THE MUSIC!!! So much better than the played out crack-pop remixes at Badlands! I don't know what all the negative reviews are about, but this club was definitely a much needed upgrade for the Castro dance scene. Thanks for making my birthday great Trigger (the fact that Falcon pornstar TJ Hawke gave me a superb birthday lap dance made it 10X better!)

The first time I went to Trigger (Sunday afternoon) I thought it was an over rated bore for sure!!!
My sexy bf and some friends decided to give it one more try. This time it was a Saturday night (Peak Time!!). There were ok good-looking dancers although they had no rhythm at all, and they all were buttafaces. The bartenders however are so much more cuter and have better personalities.
It got crowded super quick which is great if your single, the main great thing about this place is that they take cards - not just cash so it's totally convenient.

Despite (or perhaps because of) seeming to be more of a New York or LA club, Trigger is a welcome addition to the Castro scene, and brings a very different vibe. The decor is chic and elegant, as is the staff. Though they have a dance floor, it's rather small and awkward. The best part is Friday and Saturday nights around 11:30 when they have a brief show with a rope dancer doing an acrobat performance. There's just nothing else like it in the Castro.

I was skeptical of this place when I heard their concept of "membership" and "bottle service", two things that I think are ruining straight bar culture. However, I went here for pride and there was no evidence of that getting in the way. The place was packed, lots of great looking guys and the go-gos were hot. They seem to be programming the space well and I'll be sure to be back (and I recommend it highly on your barhopping in the Castro).

Very glam decor, and if you go to a gay bar for the couches and drapes, then this is the place for you. Happy Hour is the best time to actually speak to people, but weekend nights are such a loud, cramped mix of bridge-and-tunnel players, stand-and-posers, go-go boys and God-knows-who-else trying to dance where there's no room, that it's just not fun.

after hearing all the hype, i didn't expect to like trigger. but i fell in love with it the minute i walked in the door. the high ceilings and balcony are reminiscent of cool nyc bars, and the plentiful seating, lush design and relative quiet make it a pleasure to hang out with old friends and meet some new ones in what's a very diverse crowd that has yet to find a regular one. the bartenders are cute but without the pretensions of other some clubs. check it out.
