Definitely worth a visit

Besides all the exhibits, science, and interactive booths - the California Academy of Sciences is definitely worth a visit. In the heart of the Golden Gate Park - the De Young Museum is across the courtyard / garden - and there is an amphtheater, art exhibits, and plenty of art pieces, statues, and "kodak moments" throughout the area. The California Academy of Sciences is a fun, learning experience - get to experience the rainforest, check out the grass rooftop and make sure you don't exit the rain forest exhibit with any butterflies on you !!

My fave museum in the city

The Academy of Sciences brings together a natural history museum, an amazing aquarium, a planetarium and general earth sciences exhibits. The cafe is stellar and the special exhibits (like the earthquake simulator) make it extraordinary. This is the perfect way to spend a day or come here on Thursday nights for wine/beer and a fun night out.

Phenomenal Pride Party!

Every year the aquarium turns into a gay dance party just in time for Pride. Check it out!
