What we say
Neighborhood bar with drag shows and 80's music.
You'll find funky party nights with an even funkier decor and a crowd of all types at this fun Polk street bar.

This is a great spot with a friendly bar staff and a party like crowd. This is the kindda place where you can go alone or with a group of friends. I like the dance music on Fridays with a very old fashion drag show.
I would say Fridays is the most party night with Saturday very laid back pool shooting crowd.
So if you're an old drag queen like me or new meat on the block this is where your Polk st. night should start and your Fridays should be spent.

The Cinch on Friday nights delivers performances way more risque and bizarre than Trannyshack. This really fun weekly party cisalled Charlie Horse at Cinch on Polk St. Crowd ranges from young indie SOMA hipsters, preppy Marina professionals, drag queens, and everyone in between. Gets good around 11pm.

Since moving here we have enjoyed going to the Cinch, esp. on Sundays. Friday and Saturdays are packed with an array of gays, lesbians, drag queens, and gay friendly straights. The staff is friendly. Jim, Ed, Mikey are great. There are always fund raisers, contests and food. The back patio is a great feature. I would definitely recommend this joint.

No longer the the laid-back, comfortable & friendly atmosphere. A once truely neighborhood bar, is now another Castro satellite bar--on weekends especially, with all the attitude, too many "fabulous" patrons who have an apparent "in" with the new management. Saturday night's "Spunk" features performers performing for each other, primarily. Kind of pathetic. Bring back the pool tables, dump the house music, and bring in management who can treat all patrons with equal respect and welcome the diversity that had always made this place unique.
