A LOT HAS CHANGED SINCE 2007

Dubya was the President, Gavin was the Mayor, and Britney Spears was bald. The Dow Jones had just hit a record high. The BOC was still on Castro St., there was no Trigger, Blackbird was still called Xpansion Bar, and The Transfer was in full swing. Grindr and Scruff didn’t exist yet. Bob Barker was still hosting of The Price is Right. Beyoncé’s Irreplaceable was at the top of the charts and if you went out in the Castro you were guaranteed to hear Rihanna and Jay-Z’s Umbrella at least three times a night. Michael Vick, Bobby Brown, Paris Hilton, Keifer Sutherland, and Lindsy Lohan all went to jail. The Castro Theater sign hadn’t been renovated, the Eagle was the best place for a cocktail on a Sunday afternoon, and Trannyshack was still a weekly at the Stud; on Tuesdays…
