Festival Director Sophoan Sorn & Team warmly invite you to attend the 17th Berlin & Beyond Film Festival - America's largest celebration of new films from Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Beyond! Running 6 days & nights on the giant screen of the world-famous Castro Theatre in San Francisco, Sept. 27th-30th & Oct. 3rd-4th; with programs at the Goethe-Institut, Sept. 29th-Oct. 2nd. 21 feature films and 5 full-length documentaries highlight the very best of German cinema today, along with six short films with filmmakers of tomorrow. A dazzling delegation led by the legendary actor Mario Adorf - recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in Acting - will fly in from Europe to join us for this extraordinary occasion! All foreign-language films presented at the festival will have English subtitles. Half of the films will be presented in 35mm film projection.
