While those who identify as LGBT only make up about 3.8% of the population in the U.S., GBT males account for nearly 20% of American men who suffer from eating disorders (EDO's). As GBT men, we are at an increased risk of developing EDO's compared to our heterosexual counterparts, yet as Asian & Pacific Islander Americans we are less likely to recognize the problem, be diagnosed, have access to professional help, or seek treatment. So how do we address this health disparity between our GBT identity, our A&PI culture, and EDO's?

Help tackle this issue at the Eating Disorders & Body Image Workshop, hosted by The Connection at the A&PI Wellness Center. Come with questions, opinions, and personal experiences about EDO's and contribute to the dialogue surrounding identity, culture, and health. Also, gain some tools to identify and combat negative body image to make a healthier and happier you.
