HOT TUB - LIVE (OAKLAND)
When a band names itself after a structure that is pretty much mandatory in all great wet 'n wild debaucheries, you know you're in for quite a ride. HOTTUB draws from Dancehall, Punk, Miami Bass, and their live show is full of crowd antics, makeshift slip & slides and fun loving riots. The group recently toured North America with UK pop darlings The Ting Tings, who had been giving them shout outs in various blogs and magazine interviews, including a video interview with Perez Hilton. Their debut EP On Blast! is available on iTunes, released under their own independent record label LeHeat, a most appropriate name as they do bring some serious heat.

Planet Booty will liberate your cheeks. Planet Booty is a force to be reckoned with. A genre-defying cross-breed of electropop, sci-fi synths, space funk and booty bass, the project has evolved into a live show of epic badonka-donk proportions. The 6-piece ensemble fuses electronics, drums, percussion, horns, marimba, guitars, and soulful singing (with a splash of choreography and theatrics) to create a hyper-charged and highly entertaining supersexyfuntime dance party for your pants (or lack thereof).

Mixing records since 1982, Craig De Sean Adams has been indoctrinating people with his own take on Detroit dance music, (sometimes called Ghetto Tech or Booty House) which is very much an amalgam of his radio predecessors. DJ Assault is also the man behind a whole new set of beats — the man responsible for some of the most infectious hooks this side of the Mississippi, including his all-time XXX anthem, "Ass & Titties".

and DC’s own Go-Go, deliver a raw version of campy electro-hop.
