Please join us on Saturday, 1/19, 9-12:30, for January's GAY FOR GOOD service event with SF's "Project Inform".
ABOUT:
Project Inform is well know organization for fighting the HIV and hepatitis C epidemics. They do this by assuring the development of effective treatments and a cure; supporting individuals to make informed choices about their health; advocating for quality, affordable health care; and promoting medical strategies that prevent new infections.
WHAT WE ARE DOING:
For this event grab your overalls because we're painting! The Project Inform team has been in their space for a little over a year now, and they are ready for a splash of color. Besides the painting we will also be organizing their stock room (for those of you with an OCD thumb) & in putting together a series of HIV booklets including information on: "Medication", "Educational Living with HIV" & for "Care Givers of someone with HIV".
GENERAL INFO: They have generously offered some snacks while we work however please bring a water bottle (which can be filled from their water filtration cooler). Oh, and let's not forget, nothing say "Gay for Good" like some tunes to "jam out" to while working....so yes there will be music!
ATTIRE:
What to wear, what to wear?! That's easy! Bring what you feel most comfortable in (that you don't mind getting paint on). Overalls, jeans & a t-shirt/flannel always work. You may want to bring a light sweatshirt or "hoodie" just in case it gets a bit "chilly'.
PARKING INFORMATION:
Like most of San Francisco, street parking is available; however can be tricky in SOMA. I would recommend taking the MUNI if possible
WHERE TO REPORT:
The doors to Project Inform will be unlocked. Come inside and up to the 2nd floor.
