VS85 Benefit

Top San Francisco salons have partnered to celebrate the life of Vidal Sassoon, one of the hair industries most influential and innovative artists, with VS85. This first annual event will host guests on Vidal Sassoon’s 85th birthday; Thursday, January 17, 2013 between 7pm – 11pm at The Green Room in San Francisco, CA. Inspired by Sassoon’s philanthropic contributions, participating top San Francisco salons have unified to raise donations and awareness to Project Open Hand, a San Francisco non-profit. Project Open Hand provides services for women with breast cancer, as well as meals and groceries for the homebound and critically ill, people living with HIV/AIDS, and seniors in San Francisco County. In the spirit of celebrating life, guests will enjoy refreshments, music and a showcase of what Vidal Sassoon lived and breathed: Great Hairstyles. The Green Room will provide the backdrop for a runway presentation of models wearing wigs of Vidal Sassoon inspired hairstyles cut and styled by participating San Francisco salons. The event will also have live artists and fun and inspiring event activities for all to enjoy while mingling with others who are celebrating for the cause. A live show of wigs presented on the runway will be up for auction as well as other great items guests can bid on during the live and silent auction.
