Film Showing | United in Anger: A History of ACT UP
Thursday Jan 31, 2013 7:00PM-9:00PM
in San Francisco
An inspiring documentary about the AIDS activist movement at the height of deaths from the epidemic in the United States in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Drawing on oral histories with members of ACT UP/New York, as well as rare archival footage, the film offers a view from the trenches as ACT UP battles corporate greed, social indifference and government neglect.
