Please join us Saturday March 16th, 8:30am - noon, for our monthly "Gay for Good" service event. This month we are heading to (drum roll please) the San Francisco Zoo! For those of you who were unable to attend our last event at the SF Zoo, I can guarantee this is one not to miss!
ABOUT: San Francisco Zoo, believes that people have the intelligence and compassion to turn the current extinction and environmental crisis around with some help to get motivated. That’s why the SF Zoo has made it their goal to inspire their one million annual visitors to take some form of conservation action. From breeding endangered species as a hedge against extinction, to operating their facility in a green manner, to working to preserve the habitat in our own backyard. The San Francisco Zoo practices what they preach.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please be on time, we will be heading into the park at 8:30 SHARP and unable to pick up any late comers.
WHAT ARE WE DOING: "Top Secret" however be prepared to do some heavy lifting and getting DIRTY ya animals! ...and no this does not include piles of...well, I'll just leave that one alone.
ATTIRE: The Zoo will provide the gloves & tools. Based on our last visit it's best to dress in layers (you can remove as the day gets warmer). Old clothing is preferred: Jeans, flannels, t-shirts etc. The sun might peek out, so be sure and grab a floppy hat or loads of sun block for your "chrome domes".
DRINKS & SNACKS: There will be water provided along with some delicious energy boosting munches.
PARKING: Free parking is anywhere around Sloat and 47th street (do not park in the zoo parking lot).
WHERE TO REPORT: ***IMPORTANT*** We will meet at the front entrance to the Zoo at Sloat & Great Hwy (must walk through the Zoo Parking lot to front gate. Be at the entrance no later than 8:30am, our group will be leaving at 8:30 to the site location. We are unable to go back and pick up any "latecomers" so PLEASE BE ON TIME IF NOT EARLIER.
