DeeJay Andre
San Francisco native DeeJay Andre is a natural-born musician skilled at guitar, piano, drums, bass, clarinet, tenor saxophone, and singing. Yet through the art of DJing, she found her most powerful musical outlet and raptly receptive audiences.
Her rise began through rocking underground parties and private events throughout the Bay Area. In 2010 she joined with Peaches Lady DJ party to host FADED featuring premier female DJs spinning Hip-Hop, Reggaeton and Electro at San Francisco’s Mission district “Hip Hop Hub” Skylark. In 2012, Andre proudly collected many feathers for her cap: DJing at Dolores Park Dyke Mark for a crowd of 100,000 revelers; founding her own monthly party “Fix Your Hair” and weekly party “Switch” with partner DJ Jenna Riot at Rebel and Q Bar, the ever-bumping Mission and Castro areas.
Andre sees DJing as a people connecting ‘language,’ her conduit to express and transfer searing passion and emotion through beats. Keeping her dance floor packed with trademark aggressive sets of Hip Hop, electro and gangsta rap; she both sets and flows with the energy of each event and party.
