Deep Crates, bringing you SF's best, month after month.
Take a trip to one of the sleaziest blocks in SF on a Thursday night, find the little club called Aunt Charlie's, notice the "no cell phones" sign, pay the cover and fall into a world of disco euphoria. Deep Crates, bringing you SF's best, month after month.
Take a trip to one of the sleaziest blocks in SF on a Thursday night, find the little club called Aunt Charlie's, notice the "no cell phones" sign, pay the cover and fall into a world of disco euphoria. If you can make it through the crowd to the back, you will see him, a beast of a man standing behind the turntables. This is Bus Station John. His vinyl selections are impeccable, and extremely rare. Don't bother trainspotting, just dance, it's what your body is commanding you to do.
We got him for one night and you can't wait. The man that has been doing Tubesteak Connection at Aunt Charlie's for the past nine years, The Rod at Deco Lounge, and Manquake at the Gangway, is here, at Deep Crates. He was buying disco records when most of us were in pre-school.
But before Bus Station takes the decks, we have another extra special guest ready to rock the party. None other than Brian Bejarano, the guy that's been throwin down killer sets at afterhours clubs and warehouses for the past several years. He's a resident of As You Like It, one of the best parties in SF, and toured around the US and Mexico with Maceo Plex last year. You've seen him at Housepitality and Honey Soundsystem.
There's just one catch. You will soon have to go to Europe to see him. This is one of Brian's last gigs in SF, before he moves to Spain in June. Don't miss him before he's gone indefinitely.
Join us in saying Bon Voyage to our good friend Briski
“Deep Crates” is what you want your DJ to have. “Deep Crates” results from years (decades even) of digging in the bins and teasing apart the strands connecting the dance music universe. Disco is the trunk of the tree, and we climb around on all of the branches.
