BeRn is one of those rare songwriters who can capture the enormity of the universe within an everyday object. Raw and uplifting, her lyrics veer from the socio-political to the intimate, while avoiding self-indulgent tendencies. She takes to the stage with a fiery presence and an appetite for destruction, hell-bent on crushing the female singer/songwriter/poet stereotype. BeRn calls her music ‘Frock’, to describe her eloquent mix of folk, punk angst, rock ‘n’ roll, feminism, ire, laughter and irrepressible spirit. An award winning slam poet Bern offers up a heady mix of emotion and rebellion.
