Fairyland, A Memoir of My Father | Paperback Launch

This spring, I'm returning to the Haight, the neighborhood that made me, for a paperback launch and reading at the beloved Booksmith. Won't you join me? Background: Fairyland is memoir about growing up motherless in 1970s and ’80s Haight/Ashbury with an openly gay father, (the prominent San Francisco writer and critic Steve Abbott). The book was named a New York Times Editors' Choice and one of the best books of 2013 by The San Francisco Chronicle, Goodreads, and Shelf Awareness, among others.
