The ART of DRAG : A Trip into the Fabulous.

Celebrating the visual magic that is Drag, this art show is setting out to capture the magic, effort, and huge amount of skill necessary to transform! This is NOT just another art show. The makeup, the hair, the lips, the legs, the stage. We want it all! This event will be showcasing art and photography depicting all the faces and facets of drag, on and off the stage. We want to use art to give a face and voice to all of the women, men, and any gender identity in between, or outside of conventional identities, who love, live and thirst for the flash of the lights and feel of the high heels on the cat walk. This event will be in the one of the finest drag cities on Earth, SAN FRANCISCO. We will be inviting artists, photographers and some of the most prominent Queens and Kings to participate. You don't have to be famous to participate in this show. We are just looking for wonderful and thought provoking art and photography. We are looking for paintings, digital art, magnificent sketches and gallery quality photography. We are looking for narrative works, not just head-shots and portraits. Use your imagination and dig deep to paint that queen in a way that we get inside the mind of the image, and feel that emotion. The party will be in October as the date and location are still T.B.A., but trust us, this is a spotlight you will want to step into. We are taking mix-tapes for musical submissions.
