DJ Escape has spent the last decade touring the world, playing the hits on the planet’s fiercest dance floors. “My nights are about fun and energy and making sure people leave with memories,” he says.
These days, he continues to tour, but his heart is focused on being an artist, creating new dance floor faves and reworking old ones, making them new again. He and his studio partner, Tony Coluccio, have released several Billboard #1s including Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go”, Deborah Cox’s “Higher” and Asher Monroe (featuring Chris Brown)’s “Memory”.
“I bring what I do in the DJ booth to the studio,” Escape explains. “The same high-energy beat that gets the kids hopping on my floor is found in my remixes and productions.”

Hector has been able to successfully transform both songs and artists, utilizing not only his style, but also creative beats and rhythms to create a memorable sound. For example, he notably transformed the sound of Canadian singer Deborah Cox stands out as a shining example of his creativity. Cox, who was signed to Arista, commenced her long collaboration with Hector when he remixed several singles from her second album, One Wish. Hector's work on her singles "It's Over Now" and "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" successfully helped Cox cross over from R&B music, and made her a major name in the dance-music genre.
Hector's remix of Jennifer Lopez's third hit single, "Waiting for Tonight", from her debut album On the 6, also became such a success that it earned Lopez a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2000.
Spice Girl Melanie C achieved her second solo number-one single on the UK pop chart in 2000 because of Hector's radio remix of the fourth single, "I Turn to You", from her debut solo album Northern Star. The remix also charted at number-one on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart later that same year, and earned him the Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year.

Kristine W returns to the dance floor with a vengeance of groove and flair, giving it—to quote the title hook of her infectious new single--“Everything That I Got” on her latest full length album New & Number Ones. Her new album both celebrates and adds to a legacy that includes her record setting streak of most consecutive #1 hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart.
New & Number Ones launches several exciting new musical partnerships for Kristine, most notably with UK producers Lee Dagger and Marc Jacobs, aka the Bimbo Jones team, whose extensive remix discography includes tracks by Lady Gaga, Pink and Katy Perry. Kristine had begun writing songs for a new dance project when she met and discovered an instant kinship with the duo at the Winter Music Conference in Miami.
“They have that same kind of goofy, crazy energy like I do, and they’re passionate about music,” says Kristine. “We had a meeting, and then performed at a party at Fire Island and they went home and started working on tracks for us to write to.” Kristine’s collaborations with Bimbo Jones on New & Number Ones include “Everything That I Got” and “Room At The Top.”
