Spring is Gay! Benefitting Gay4Good San Francisco

Who says there isn't a Gay Agenda? We have one and it's GOOD! I'm excited to host this event for one of my favorite Bay Area volunteer organizations, Gay4Good! "Founded in 2009, San Francisco is G4G’s first satellite chapter. We are a group of approximately 1,200 volunteers who donate time and energy, once a month, to a variety of social welfare and environmental service projects. We usually draw 50-60 people for three to four hours on the third Saturday of the month to work on a project. There is no money involved – we donate our time. The goal is community service. Past volunteer projects include rejuvenating parts of the SF Zoo; repackaging donated food for the Food Bank; trail building in Golden Gate Park; working on many habitat projects for the Presidio Nursery; restoring native species along the coast; painting and performing minor repairs at special education schools; clearing lots in blighted neighborhoods to create community spaces; working on projects for the AIDS Memorial Grove; and sorting books for The Friends of the Public Library."
