Memberz Only Crew Young Kingz RebelcadetS About People in Plazas : People In Plazas produces free musical concerts in San Francisco outdoor spaces. Our mission is to activate urban open spaces through events which generate social congregation. Our aim is to bring these spaces to the status of "everybody's neighborhood." People in Plazas provides more than 500 paid "gigs" annually for local musicians. We support live music performance and embrace the diversity and wealth of the Bay Area music community. The series has grown to producing 170+ free performances in public plazas during July, August and September. Venues stretch from The Pyramid Building up to Castro Street on or near Market Street. The program reaches an audience of more than 45,000 annually. The "People in Plazas" series is supported by the Mayor's Office, Art Commission, Musicians Union Local 6, AFM. SFPD, the SF Entertainment Commission and with a grant from the Hotel Tax Fund /Grants for the Arts. Downtown property owners provide venue sponsorship. About DAMSF : The first showcase of its kind, DAMSF brings top dancers, poets, designers, musicians, and more together for a unique night of live performances and networking. Open to both groups and individuals, this dynamic showcase allows artists to display their best work in a high-energy, showcase environment. Whether it’s to mingle with other industry professionals, get inspired, or be seen – DAMSF has something to offer to everyone inside and out of Bay Area’s arts scene. The showcase links both talent and fans from diverse backgrounds in a positive environment to encourage growth and individuality. Founded by a young female entrepreneur by the name of Paymaneh “Bibi” Khalili, DAMSF is an organization that brings together artists from various disciplines, working to bridge the gap between artistry and business. By providing talent with more industry exposure and networking opportunities, DAMSF is actively working to unite and celebrate the Bay Area’s abundant talent pool.
