Science Side Show & Interactive Art
(West Garden)
6:00-10:00 pm, Take a second to contribute to something BIG with a “Wild Lights” art installation from Barcelona’s Domestic Data Streamers, which uses real-time data to combine information science and eye-catching design. Learn about the art of creative play with CODAME Art + Tech, a non-profit that aims to inspire through experience.
Check out “The Pyramid Den,” an eye-awakening prismatic installation by Chrystie Cappelli. Paint the air with the help of Nick Leindecker’s LED wands, and marvel at “Playbox" by Gabriel Castellanos and Sam Manera. Ever wonder how many times a heart beats during a single lifetime? Brooklyn-based artist Anna Landa’s sound project “The Fear” attempts to quantify the finite nature of human life in one ultra-compelling installation that’s not to be missed.
Don’t miss this month’s featured Science Side Show from OpenLab, hosting an interactive station that visualizes sound.
