World AIDS Day National Observance

With the theme "Surviving Voices: Enduring Stories of Hope," the 22nd annual World AIDS Day Observance will remember those who died, honor those who have led so fiercely in the fight against AIDS, raise awareness about the ongoing impact of the disease. This year’s World AIDS Day National Leadership Recognition honoree is humanitarian, philanthropist, and former CEO of Levi Strauss & Co., Robert D. Haas. The Thom Weyand Unsung Hero Award will be bestowed upon the San Francisco Leather Community for its 3+ decades of compassionate response to the epidemic. We will also honor the Grove’s Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship Program recipients. The event is free and open to public.
