Couples Counseling with Astrology
In this talk Jessica will explore how to use astrology to counsel couples so that they can honor themselves and each other. We will explore tools for counseling two people at once, which requires us to effectively interpret the things that are most driving in each individual and in the relationship. We will be focusing on how to identify the most useful points and synthesize the information into a useful conversation for both parties in a couple.

Love & Conception: Exploring Relationship Issues through Horary
The bread and butter of a horary astrologer’s practice, relationship questions are not technically difficult but can offer unique challenges in consultation. As astrologers, how do we take what we see in a chart and turn that into something meaningful for a client? What are the common pitfalls in relationship chart consultation, and how can we allow the astrology to work through us in a clearer, more direct way? In this presentation we will assess horaries relating to relationships and pregnancy to see reliable first principles at work, with a focus on the pragmatic nature of interpersonal counseling.
Wade Caves is an astrological consultant, educator and international speaker specializing in horary, electional and classical astrological technique. Wade received his certification as a horary practitioner from Deborah Houlding’s School of Traditional Astrology (STA), and now serves as a faculty member and tutor for the STA in North America. Prior to this he was certified with distinction from the Mayo School of Astrology in London, and is well-versed in both traditional and modern psychological methods of chart delineation. Wade maintains an astrological practice based in San Francisco, CA.

Ian Waisler
Introduces the Queer Astrology Roadshow
Ian will be facilitating this, with JL and WC and y’all also there to contribute as you’re called… Queer Astrology Roadshow redesigns our conference format so that all of us may contribute. It’s astro Kindergarten. Also we are all the teachers, and the texts. Explore embodiment & work on culture. We’ll do map making and chart drawing to see the themes of the day come alive. Expect some small group focus with some of the amazing astrologers in the room. The roadshow circle meets on the hours: 5, 6, and 7. In between is art/ crafting/ play/ study. And we’ll share our own stories. Ian Waisler is exploring the QA Roadshow as a response to the QA Conferences, which were – for some – too speaker focused. All are called to participate.
Ian Waisler, Taurean super witch astrologer, Ian has been practicing at the SF Integral Yoga Institute since 2001, and delights in working with astrology and earth-centered ritual skills. Instigator of the Queer Astrology project including two Bay Area conferences in 2013 and 2015, he’s currently develpoing 2016’s QA Roadshow. In 2014 he took on the Presidency of the SF Astrological Society. Mix in a BA in Linguistics, some years of Alexander Technique practice, a semi-encyclopedic jukebox of popular music knowledge … he’s full of surprises. His consulting and teaching practices aim to include a hands-on component, foregrounding the quiet / deep of the body, alongside the verbal.
