Enjoy 10 stages of cutting-edge electronic dance music, an expaned Art Alley, aerial artists above the center intersection, and live bands along the new walkway on 1st Street. Located in the emerging heart of downtown San Francisco.
You are invited to participate in the fun. Come in colorful costume as your true self.
Explore the many ways we can identify ourselves and how we can all live together in peace. This year's faire celebrates diversity and multiculturalism. Join us as we gather once again to dance in the streets, be inspired by art, shop exotic stores, make new friends and greet old ones, and appreciate each other's differences at the most diverse gathering this planet has ever seen... a cosmic stew of creative expressions and unique perspectives.
THE MAGIC STICKER

The price of the Magic Sticker is $20. You can get the Magic Sticker at the entrances to the faire. The Magic Sticker comes with lots of discounts and savings, fun activities, and many free things. Use it at all of the faire vendors and bars, including $2 off each alchoholic drink. It is your way to support the faire, and get something great back in return... more magic than ever before. The Magic Sticker is your ticket to a world of fun and adventure, and it makes you look great.

There will be two free water stations at the faire this year, so bring empty containers to fill up. Do not bring glass containers, as these are not allowed in the faire. There will be bag checks at the entrances.

How Weird features some of the best electronic music played on some of the world’s most advanced sound technology. Local artists from across the Bay Area will provide the ideal soundtrack for your dancing pleasure. This year, there will be 10 stages of dance music, representing the full spectrum of electronic music, as well as world beat and reggae music. Each stage represents different styles and communities. Together they form one of the most diverse and talented music festivals in the world.
The How Weird Street Faire will again participate in National Dance Week. Join people from across the country in a special dance, and watch performances of many different styles on the Dance Stage next to the center intersection. Celebrate the wonders of dancing, and all the many forms dance takes.
ART ALLEY
Art Alley is an open air art festival that showcases the visual arts with live and exhibited artwork, interactive pieces, and local craft vendors. See the extreme creativity that San Francisco is famous for, and participate in the creation of exquisite art. Art Alley will expand again this year, filling all of Tehama Street from 1st to 2nd Streets plus an Art Annex off of 2nd Street. Art Alley features fantastic visionary artists from around the Bay Area. You won’t believe your eyes. For your viewing soundtrack there will be ambient and downtempo music along Art Alley, as well as a dub music stage by Mountain Lion Hi-Fi in the Art Annex.
VENDING + FOOD AND DRINKS
How Weird is filled with vendors selling unique and designer goods. From clothing to art to jewelry and accessories, you can find interesting things and new styles for the 2016 festival season.
There will be food trucks with delicious food of all sorts, and bars to quench your thirst. How Weird features an unusually diverse shopping experience that you won’t find anywhere else. And every vendor will be offering a special deal for those who get the Magic Sticker, including exciting discounts and more. Each entrance will have a shortened presale line for those that get Magic Stickers in advance online. There will be free bike parking at New Montgomery and Natoma Streets. We recommend taking public transportation to the faire. The How Weird Street Faire is located a short walk from Market Street and the Montgomery BART station, as well as Caltrains Station, Transbay Terminal, and many MUNI lines.
LEGENDARY WEIRDNESS + PEACE
How Weird is a menagerie of attractions, and a platform for performers of every type. The faire is from Noon to 8pm. Get there early to enjoy all of the fun!
How Weird 2016 will bring tens of thousands of unique cultures together to coexist in peace, proving that it is possible. The How Weird Street Faire is showing the world that relative differences can be a good thing, and that being weird is wonderful.
