We shall celebrate once again the ever-changing & far-ranging master of the extraordinary. The sound & vision maestro who blended art rock, funk, soul, free jazz, and pop.
Please join GoldenYearz as we present a celebration in honour of David Bowie! We will focus on his astonishing first 15 years from 1965-1980.
In an incomparable career that started as an inspired English lad, the early years took him through the mod, folk, and psychedelic years of the 1960s and on to the more sophisticated glam, soul, disco, krautrock, and new wave years of the 1970s....
No other artist has so successfully and masterfully created such a long-lasting multi-faceted musical catalog as the glittery Starman himself, the Thin White Duke with unbelievable depth, the one and only David Bowie.

BABY COPPERHEAD
Benjamin Brian Lee AKA Baby Copperhead is a New York City-based banjo player, guitarist, and composer. While honoring the traditional North African roots of the banjo and its influence on Appalachian Mountain music, Baby Copperhead’s music is often described as “otherworldly” and “sci-fi” because of his experimentation with electronics, improvisation, and dystopian themes. He has collaborated with a wide variety of luminaries around the globe including Michelle Dorrance, DJ/rupture, Eugene Chadbourne, Ed Askew, Jim Campilongo, Nate Wooley, and many others. He has toured throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, and performs consistently in the New York City area as Baby Copperhead or with his surf/spaghetti-western band, The Zolephants.
"The banjo visionary...whose specialty is taking the banjo and treating it with a sci-fi glaze" WNYC
"Backed with cello and swirling deep-space-style sounds, it’s one of the more interesting things I’ve ever heard a banjo be a part of....the sheer curiosity of it has a hypnotizing effect.”
"eccentric local folkie...Baby Copperhead seasons his rustic tunes with heady psych and prog" TIMEOUT NY
