Exclusive Performance by Alva Noto

We're excited to announce an exclusive concert by Alva Noto, the multimedia artist celebrated for his experimental music performances that combine self-made codes of signs, acoustics and visual symbols. Carsten Nicolai, aka Alva Noto, has toured extensively through Europe, Asia, South America and the US and most recently scored the music for Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Oscar-winning film, 'The Revenant.' Nicolai focuses on the transitional area between music, art and science, drawing on mathematic patterns such as grids and codes through random, self-organizing structures. His 2006 video 'fades' is currently installed in Wilsey Court and will be on view through September 25th. Photo courtesy of Dieter Wuschanski.
