We do it because everybody needs a honky tonk angel to hold them tight. We do it because we believe in country music for all cowpeople.

We're playing in the back room. Enter the bar and go to the back porch. Turn right, and then head down the hall past the bathrooms. The back room is through the open door at the end of the hall.

El Rio is 21+.
No stairs are involved in accessing the club or the back room. The bathrooms aren't wheelchair-accessible; neither is part of the back patio. If the club is crowded, it may be tricky to navigate with a chair.
There are some metal chairs with arms and backs, and some tall cushioned stools in the back room. Most people will probably be standing, but please don't hesitate to grab a chair or help someone else to one if they need it!
We encourage everyone to come to the event scent-free, but we can't guarantee that this will be a lower-chemical space, as the rest of the club will be open-access and it gets crowded on Friday nights. For information about how (and why) to go fragrance-free, check out Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha's http://www.brownstargirl.org/blog/fragrance-free-femme-of-colour-realness-draft-15.
