Join YBCA on the third Thursday evening of each month for free gallery admission, extended hours, and live programming.

Artist Jesse Hewit previews his forthcoming performance work FAITH MATERIAL/ACTIVISM, as well as several other performance rituals, led and performed by two of the Bay Area’s most powerful truth tellers and spell casters, Marvin K. White and Sara Shelton Mann. Hewit proposes that there is a particular—and often queer—kind of solitude in believing in things that cannot be proven, and seeks to expand and map those solitudes into a soft and generative cyclone of action and potential connectivity.

Every month we invite Bay Area artists, thinkers, and culture makers to present unique experiences that you’ll only find at YBCA. From live performances and interventions to dialogues and discussions, third Thursdays promise inspiration and fun.
