Kirk’s BIO:
Kirk Akahoshi is a psychotherapist, executive coach, speaker and workshop leader. His journey in men’s work began in 1993 when he did his first vision quest, a Native American rite of passage. Ever since, he has continued to push his edges and explore his own self-awareness through new experiences, study and personal development work. His quest has included shamanic journeying, hypnosis, working and living abroad, nature-based retreats, Hakomi Mindfulness-centered Somatic Psychotherapy, meditation, writing, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) among other experiences. Kirk has a private practice in San Francisco where he works with individuals, groups and corporations, specializing in men’s coaching and therapy. He interweaves his experience and advanced training to help his clients become more authentic, empowered and integrated. Kirk is founder of A Men’s Collective, part of his community of men created to support each other in exploring and expressing the vastness of masculinity.
