DIRTY SANCHEZ is one of the most infamous electroclash bands of the early/mid 2000’s, along with artists like Peaches, Fanny Pack, Chicks On Speed, Avenue D, Fischerspooner and others. After only a handful of electrifying live performances the band was quickly signed to Cleopatra Records and recorded their groundbreaking debut album that featured club hits “On The Dance Floor,” “Dinner Party,” “Get It Wet” and more. Their music has been featured on the NBC soap opera “Passions,” in the movie “Neu Wave Hººkers” and on countless electroclash compilations. D$R†Y Sanchez is one of the very few commercially successful bands to feature a drag queen as lead singer along with acts such as Wayne/Jayne County and The Toilet Boys. In 2005 Rock City News named D$R†Y Sanchez “Outstanding Electro Band of the Year.”
Now, after a 10 year hiatus, founding members Jackie Beat and Mario Diaz are touring again with an exciting non-stop 25-minute track set featuring several of their original club hits “Youth In Asia,” “Really Rich", "On the Dance Floor,” the never-before-performed-live “Backlash,” along with the Soft Cell cover and their synthed-out take on the Prince classic “U Got The Look.”
Their very first reunion performance, at the Pride kick-off for BONKERZ! at Precinct DTLA was a packed-to-capacity, standing-room-only smashing success.
