Belvedere House Bed & Breakfast (Closed Permanently)

(5 Ratings)
Uniquely San Francisco
The Belvedere House is a quaint gay-owned and operated bed and breakfast that makes you feel like a house guest. Guests are encouraged to freely explore the home, including the atrium, dining room or parlor. Centrally located, patrons can easily walk down the street to be on Castro Street and all of its nightlife, and the Haight district is a quick bus ride away.

My number one B&B in San Francisco.

Really the best B & B in the district. Clean comfortable and informal. Much more like being in someones home than a hotel. Rooms are small but well furnished. The public rooms, light and welcoming are full of books, brick-aback and even a piano. A laptop is provided for customers use.The kitchen is available anytime of day. The views alone would make The Belvedere a top choice which strangely brings me to the only downside. To enjoy those views you have climbed an extremely long steep hill up 17th Street from the Castro and I mean very long and very steep! However the N line streetcar stops on Carl Street (good area for dinning) which is a less steep walk down Belvedere Street and makes it very easy getting around. If you really want to wimp out then take the Castro shuttle bus 37 that stops close by.

Comfortable and Cozy

This place is great! Close to the Castro and to Haight/Asbury. It was like a home away from home.
