Location is good for the area, not far from the Bart and MUNI if you want to visit other areas of the city. Walking in SOMA after dark can be challenging unless you are with someone else as I was, lots of homeless and panhandlers. The hotel is safe and secure though and fairly quiet given the area (we were on the 5th floor). Rooms are intermediate in size with big enough bathrooms you don't bump into something turning around. This is an environmentally friendly property, and they give free parking to those driving Hybrids.
