Great place that serves up equally delicious food. Brunch menu is short but delivers. Awesome place for an intimate meal or private party. Have done both and have never been disappointed. Place can get busy during peak hours so make reservations.

Excellent spot for brunch or dinner

2223 is the Castro's slightly upscale, better food restaurant. When it first opened it brought foodies from all over, since then it has calmed down, but is still a great place for good food and good company. We had brunch here for Father's day. I had the Fried Chicken salad (really good, but probably not too healthy) and my friends had the salmon benedict, chorizo scramble, and burger. All good. We topped it off with the Cinnamon bun which is amazing. The service is always good and usually some good eye candy around too. Well worth a sto.

if i am in SAN FRANCISCO and i want to eat good food in a nice place, i go for sure there. Dedicated staff that is able to serve you at best. The cuisine is fantastic, all is cooked to the supreme, and the presentation of dishes is in sameway artistic, so a pleasure for the eyes and the taste

2223 is my favorite place to eat in the Castro. Great brunch, seasonal ingredients, and an ever evolving menu make it a reliable staple. Add the lovely atmosphere, great service, and price point that is beyond reasonable, and find that you can have your cake and eat it, too! Try the savory bread pudding with chantrelles and prosciutto for breakfast and become a die-hard, life-long fan like me!

Loud and A-Gay

Nice place, nice food, nice service, but the seating banquet is uncomfortable and the room is so loud the experience is a bit less than wonderful. Great bar and service. Enjoy!

Cross over cuisine mediteranian style

This is maybe the best place I had dinner while in San Francisco. The food is delicious, a little cross over, mediteranian style. And the waiters are very friendly, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I had a wonderful evening there.

I have been to this place three times: 1) joint birthday celebration with my ex-bf; 2) ex-bf took me here when I quit my shitty job, and 3) when I celebrated my 29th birthday. Anyway, I remember that I'm very satisfied with the food. Although the service can be quite slow when it gets busier on the weekends. Do try their juicy pork chops!

First visit Feb '09. Went on $12 Tuesday. Crowded and good food and service. Turned out to be a special memory on a trip to the City. Will be back on my next trip.
