The entire waitstaff is friendly and accommodating and the food while not mind-blowing, is better than several Castro locations. Be warned it suffers from the typical SF problem of noise density, so it's probably not a great choice for a romantic date, but it certainly has an energy and vibe pulsing through it. We tried Bisou just caused it looked busy and smelled good from the street. Even though we had no reservations, the matire de was very accommodating in trying very hard to find a spot for us. Our waiter greeted us with a warm, genuine smile, and told us all we wanted to know about the menu. The food was wonderful - mushrooms for appetizers were rich, flavorfull, butter-like. I had the Beef Borguignon for dinner - also wonderful. And Chef Nick - he hugged us before we left, which we now understand is common. This was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip to San Francisco.
