Pesto heaven

This place serves the most amazing pesto I have ever eaten outside of Italy. It's like they fly in the basil every morning for that night's meal. Their homemade pasta sheets that are coated in the pesto elevate the entire dish to prime levels. I'd lick the plate clean if this were served in my house. Okay, maybe not, but this is a great dish at a great place. Check out Farina for an impressive date spot, a special occasion or if you need a place that has a private room. The decor is modern, the service is great, and it's one of the best spots to dine alfresco when the weather is cooperating. Modern Italian at its best.

Wonderful offshoot of Farina

Farina is one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood and I was delighted to see them spin off a Pizzeria. The pizza here is great, but not quite as good as Delfina Pizzeria down the street. But it's the other items on the menu that make this worth a stop. Try the amazing (albeit carb-full) arancini. The pastas are fresh and tasty and even the entrees are great. It's usually not too hard to get a table or a seat at the bar. A must stop on an increasingly popular foodie street.

Excellent Homemade Pasta

My buddy took me here for my birthday. I totally dig the ambiance of the place. It has a kick-ass interior and the bathroom was amazing! I totally recommend any of their pasta dishes. Everything is homemade here even their yummy pastries. Just make sure you have enough dough before dining here because prices can be pretty steep!

Obnoxious - Lack of Customer Service Manager

"Last night I ate at Farina. Had a great dinner...food was fabulous..waitress was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. At the end of dinner, after the MANAGER of Farina, swiped my ATM card and returned the folder to our table, I found my card was missing. I alerted the MANAGER and the waitress that they had not not returned my card. The MANAGER after looking around for it for about 2 seconds became dismissive and said there was nothing that he could do about it and I should go ahead and cancel my card. There was no apology and he was insinuating that maybe I was not telling the truth. As I got more upset, more now about his attitude and dismissiveness, distain??, he told me that "my attitude was not going to get me anywhere". I told him that it was not getting me anywhere anyway because I still did not have my card. It was my friend, who asked him, if he had my name and contact information when the card was found (he had not even thought to ask that). After about 15 tense minutes, I did not want to leave the restaurant without it. even though we were rushing to the theatre, the waitress brough my card over because the MANAGER had given it back to another patron by mistake. By this time, still no apology but just a "haughty and I could care less" attitude from the MANAGER. I was furious and let him know...he could have cared less!! Warning to other patrons!!"
