great view of park

the food here is solid; the point more is to grab a sandwich and coffee and enjoy precita park, right across the street, which is the hot new hipster gathering spot, a small, hidden gem alternative to dolores park cafe, which has become completely overrun.

Disagree with article. Great food and hang out

Place is unique that it doubles as a cafe by day and restaurant by night. The short rib sandwich, chicken chipolte, and turkey bacon and avocado are delicious. The bread is superb. You won't find food like this unless travel well into the mission. Their coffee selection is a medium and dark roast which works out well for me. Their side salads could have a few more vegetables. Their pizzas at night are really good. Pepperoni and margaritas are usually what we order. Beers on the cheap and they have a great zinfandel wine

finally!

it's so nice to have a new cafe in the area that's open late, uses locally produced food, and has a vibe that invites people to hang out. the folks who work here have made me feel at home. thank you :)

Disagree with the editorial review

I actually think the food here is quite good. I ordered the short-rib sandwich and it was very yummy. However, I also ordered a smoothie and that was quite mediocre. Great ambience with plenty of sunlight coming in.
