What we say
Great indie bookstore with big gay collection
From literary nonfiction to homoerotic picture books and magazines to mystery novels, this terrific outpost of gay life & letters right in the heart of the Castro is the perfect place to pick out reading material for Cafe Flore across the street, or Pete's Coffee next door, where you can sit on a sidewalk table, sip coffee, cruise cute boys and girls while pretending to read something serious.

I'm not much of a book person, but from time to time i'll go looking for an interesting travel book or some non-fiction. This store is huge and has a great and very browseable selection. The staff is great and you can go to them with silly questions like "I want to read something light and fun and gay" and they'll point you to them. The shelves also point out staff picks. The store has a few places to sit, but I wish they had more. Also, the magazine collection is large as well and is fun to flip through.
So, what do you say?
