it's where to go if you're looking to dance to all your favorite pop songs. the back patio is great if you need a break from the dance floor.

Great Team Makes the Difference

Toad is my favorite place to drink in SF. The generous pours, two-for-one happy hour and back patio for us smokers makes it a good bar...the team, from doorman to barback to bartender, makes it a great bar. Jimmy is my favorite and Nick a close second, but everyone there makes you feel welcome.

An more fun and less sloppy version of Badlands

Better music and a less messy crowd than sister bar Badlands with the same amazingly stiff and cheap drinks. Just be warned, you're in for an all night adventure if you have more than 1.

Great for drunks

When I'm in the Castro, I like to go to Toad Hall because the dance floor is small within a larger space. As a non-dancer, I appreciate the space to sit, stand or mill around without the full club experience. This makes it a good place to meet up with friends and have enough space to hang out for a while and just drink. Plus they sponsor my friends' gay softball team, which is awesome.
