We are absolutely honored and thrilled to welcome David Harness back into the booth. He has been part of our musical family since day one, DJing the first two Odyssey parties, as well as our NYE party last year. So it’s only fitting that he come back to close our our 2012 season with us
Additionally, we will be returning to the DJ rotation format that we know and love so much. It’s been fun having so many DJs on the lineup recently but it’s time to refocus and bring back my favorite feature of the party. Each DJ will have 2 chances to rock the decks, in a three-DJ rotation. Not only do you have an extra chance to catch your favorite DJ, but your favorite DJ has a second chance to hear what the other DJs have to say, check the crowd’s response and come back harder with a closing set, creating a musical conversation between the DJs and the dancers, and a fantastic party vibe.
Also, we will be moving it up into the Public Works loft for this one. I know we have a ton of fabulous people and energy. I encourage you to bring it in FULL! Let’s fill up that little loft with all the fabulous energy, style, music, and rebel love-thy-brother attitude that has made Odyssey what it is today. I can’t wait!!

** VISUAL STIMULATION **
DONOVAN’S LightsOut LIGHTSHOW!
>> A true SF gem, Donovan is a prolific live lightshow artist (and head of the Psychedelic Lightshow Preservation Society), having made continuous live art through a combination of slides, projections, color wheels and essentially anything he can get access to, analog or digital. His work was hugely influential in the 90's Rave scene, performing at Wicked, The Gathering, going on tour with Doc Martin & Dubtribe, and setting up shop in various influential nightclub spaces in San Francisco, including Townsend. He will be taking us on a 6 hour visual joyride.

** IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD **
... ASK SOMEBODY!
If you haven't heard of Odyssey... it's 6 hours of continuous music & visuals with the most fabulous ever-growing family of freaks ( gay and straight!) that you've ever partied with ♥
DJs are selected based on their fabulous energy, continued relevance in the gay & straight musical worlds, diverse musical perspective, and most of all, their persuasive and ever-growing musical vision.
From the SF Weekly: “Started a year ago, Odyssey was one of the city's best secrets, with a warm vibe of house and disco served up by an accepting family of DJs. And while it used to be the province of the late-night set, now it's celebrating its one-year anniversary in the main room at Public Works, the party's new home. The best part is that not much has changed: it's still fueled by the same vibe, music, and psychedelic light show (courtesy of Donovan's Light's Out Light Show) that made it such a favorite in the first place “
