Have you heard that Elbo Room has announced it will be closing at the end of 2015? This will likely be the last time we play here, and it has been the platform for so many local bands, so let's help this Mission venue go out with a bang!

We're bringing together 3 local bands that are guaranteed to keep your ears perked and your body moving.

=== Gringa === is a 5-piece band (drums, bass, percussion, guitar/cavaco, sax, vocals) based in San Francisco, CA that blends Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms/instruments with elements of Pop, Jazz, Funk, Dub, Hip Hop, Samba, and Reggaeton. By weaving Brazilian and Cuban rhythms through nomadic love songs and millenial musings, Gringa aspires to forge new musical sounds and dissolve cultural barriers while uplifting the listener.

=== Sang Matiz=== recently opened for the legendary Buena Vista Social Club in August and can only be described as Danceable, Catchy, Fast, Syncopated melodies with some Rap and Afro rhythms combined with flamenco style finger picking.

=== AFE Acoustic === Featuring members of Afrofunk Experience AFROBEAT, AFROROCK, REGGAE, AND ORIGINAL BAY AREA FUNK. These purveyors of original Afrobeat, Reggae and Funk music are dance floor veterans, with current and former members of Spearhead, Afrolicious, Katdelic and Broun Fellinis among them. They will get you moving with their funky rhythms, draw you in with their soulful singing, and carry you away with their spirit-filled solos. Winners of SF Weekly’s 2006 Best International Act, NAACP Image Award for Outstanding World Music Album, 2010 (W/ Sila and the Afrofunk Experience) for “Black President”"
