Crooked Colours are a live electronic trio, creating music that has one foot in the indie world and one foot in a darker electronic realm. Comprising of Phil Slabber, Leon Debaughn and Liam Merrett-Park, their sound has often been compared to a combination of English indie-rock foursome Alt-J and US electronic duo Crystal Castles.
To date the band has played at St Jeromeâs Laneway, Groovin The Moo, Parklife, Wonderland & Southbound Festivals as well as supporting bands RÃFÃS and San Sisco on their national album tours. The band was also invited to showcase at CMJ Music Marathon in New York and Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles in 2015.
After break out hit singles âCome Downâ, âCapriciousâ & âAnother Wayâ all of which reached number one on hype machine as well as rotation on triple j locally, the band decided to take a step back to focus on writing their debut album. Now after 18 months in the making, Crooked Colours are proud to announce the completion of this record with the first taste âFlowâ out February 10th.
