Christmas Eve is FULL. Volunteers needed on Christmas Day.
The Bridgewatch Angels will dedicate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to saving lives on the Golden Gate Bridge. We are seeking compassionate volunteers to greet everyone with smiles while bringing hope to those feeling depressed and suicidal. Our primary focus will be to positively engage individuals on the bridge who are walking alone, displaying negative body posture, or lingering mid-span.

The Golden Gate Bridge remains the number one suicide destination in the world. In 2016, 39 people died jumping off the bridge. Another 184 came to the bridge to end their lives but were stopped by the CHP, Bridge District Police, and the Bridgewatch Angels volunteers.
The Bridgewatch schedule for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be 10am to 2pm . Please select the Eventbrite link below and indicate which day(s) you will volunteer. Please include your email so you will receive emails with all the logistical and training information to prepare for the day.
At 10:00am on both days, Mia Munayer and the Bridgewatch Angels trainers will greet you in front of the Bridge Cafe (San Francisco Welcome Center). A mandatory orientation will begin promptly at 10:00am so we ask you to arrive 30 minutes early to park and use the facilities/purchase snacks.
After registering on Eventbrite, please visit the Bridgewatch Angels Facebook page and select events. You will find the Bridgewatch Christmas Eve/Day 2017 event page. Select "going" to receive Facebook newsfeed updates with meeting location, times, parking, ride share options, training, and helpful tips to plan your day with us.
Due to the nature of the work and safety precautions, volunteers MUST be at least 18 years of age. Only therapy dogs with proof of ADA certification are allowed on the Golden Gate Bridge.
We would be very appreciative if you would share our Christmas Eve/Day 2017 Bridgewatch event on your social media and tell your family and friends. We love newcomers!
