Don't miss the wine happy hour
An awesome boutique Hotel
If you are looking for somewhere to stay a little off the beaten path but so close to everything then the Parker House is your place. Great accommodations and friendly staff helped make this experience to San Fran one to remember. While there is plenty to do in the city, make sure and return for the evening social 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. It is a great way to meet people from all around the world. Cheers to the Parker House, can't wait to come back.
Excellent B&B
PROS:
1) Location Location Location
2) Wine socials every day
3) Sauna
4) Great staff
5) Very interesting guest
6) Breakfast
CONS:
1) Light sleepers may have issues with front 2 rooms because of street cars
OVERALL:
You cant beat the location to the Castro at all. Much better than staying at the hotels downtown and having to pay a cab or subway to do anything. You can meet many people all over the world. Streetcars start early & if you are in the front 2 rooms you may hear them.
Great Place to Stay
First time to SF, really enjoyed hospitality. The wine social is a highlight. Parker is located in a great spot. My partner and I would definetly come back.
Dirty
Stayed for a week and hardly slept. Streetcars go right by the window of room #22 and the room was so dusty I could write my name in the furniture. Walls need to be repainted and for the price the Ritz would have been a much better value. Staff is excellent and it was nice to mingle with people from other areas but the lack of upkeep, uncomfortable bed and noise will deter me from staying here again.
The best B&B experience ever!
My partner Chris(Guapo) and I stayed at the Parker during SF Gay Pride - The atmosphere buzzes and you are made to feel so comfortable and looked after. The 5pm social is wonderful - you easily become friends with other guests and staff. Host Scott is just exceptional - If you could bottle him, you be a billionaire in no time. We so much look forward to future stays at the Parker.
So much FUN,we started planning our trip back as so as we got home!
The Parker Guest House is simply amazing! From our lovely host Scott to our perfect room and stay. The Parker house is a must in San Francisco. We never just gush on about a place, but this one is so well deserved. We just got home yesterday and are in the midst of planning a trip back in the next few weeks! The Parker Guest House invites you the make their house your home, i.e. your very opulent home (crosses fingers and hope to win the lottery) Our very first day we met most of the other guests at the daily wine social, which culminated in a group outing for dinner. Never has this happened to us in a large hotel. Every need was taken care of with the utmost attention. We never wanted for a thing. Parker Guest House, you've now made two new fans.
Parker is amazing
We loved it there. Highly recommended. Excellent location. No need for a car. Incredible staff. So friendly and welcoming. Room was spottlessly clean and comfortable. Only minor minor complaint was the TV in the room. I enjoy watching it before bed. It was old and very small. But besides that I LOVED this place and will return!!!
Nowhere Else
I've been visiting San Francisco for work for years, and since I found Parker Guest House, I don't stay anywhere else. Great location, clean, very pleasant garden, comfortable while not luxurious rooms, and good bath setups. My only quibbles would be with having a better breakfast setup, 100% carb breakfasts are not my cup of tea; and the internet is not the highest speed imaginable, and for those of us on business, the desk setup is charming but not convenient. But, I put up with it instead of a big chain - as in all real estate there are three words: location, location and location. Walking distance to everything in Castro, tram stops, key parts of Market, huge range of restaurants, and miraculously you can actually rent a parking spot.
Luxury B&B in Castro
Very comfortable establishment. Fairly central to the Castro and situated on the 'J' streetcar line. Rooms clean and the suites large and opulent. Public rooms grand but perhaps a little pretentious and cold. Very good extended ' continental' style breakfast. The most expensive B&B in the Castro but still good value.
