Come PLAY with us the First Saturday at our monthly featuring world class artists at the legendary EndUp!
PLAY is a party series best described as recess for adults. It's all the fun you aren't supposed to be having because you're supposedly a grown up now. With all the kids you shouldn't hang out with, but they're too much fun not to. And all the music that makes you glad you’ve grown up – just a little. The bells have rung. It's time to PLAY.

MARK E QUARK
In a pinch, if forced to employ adjectives to describe the Mark E. Quark style, one would come up with words like “groovy, laid back and nasty” house music. But putting grammar aside, it’s reasonable to just say that Quark has internalized influences from DJ Harvey, Idjut Boys, Jeno + early Andrew Weatherall, mashed them up, and given life to a signature style and a creature which is totally unique. This creature is currently brought to life for public consumption on a bi-weekly basis at Moonshake, a collaboration with fellow DJ’s Dr. Indulgent + Bob Dazzla in San Diego.

dAvi A
Even though this DJ's career has just begun to expand, dAvi A (formerly dAvi) is no new comer to the underground electronic dance music scene, Being introduced to the LA rave scene at an extremely early age, you could say he definitely has roots in dance music, even though he enjoys, pursues, and takes inspiration from, other genres of music such as alternative,, cold wave, indie rock and post-punk. After spending his teenage years around an abundance of 90’s house and techno talent in LA. Davi moved to San Francisco at the age of 20 yrs old. After a couple short years of exploring SF's underground nightlife scene, he began collaborating and hosting one of SF’s best mix-sexuality Electro/Indie parties.. White Diamonds. After a year and a half of WD he moved to NYC to peruse fashion and study at F.I.T., and fell into the underground club kid scene of Susanne Bartsch’s parties and many more..
In 2007 dAvi A began his descent back into SF where DJing quickly took off for him, throwing a mix of different parties around SF, which included his Nu Disco/ Disco project WORKIN’ the MACHINE at SF’s former Triple Crown, as well as different parties at the famous 222 Hyde. Being good friends with (and extremely inspired by) San Francisco legendary party promoters and DJ's such as the PacificSound crew Solar, Galen and J-Bird (Sunset), the [KONTROL] team Sammy D, Nikola Baytala, Alland Byallo and many more… his style began to emerge. He also takes credit in the introduction of the members of his brother, Ryan Williams's, band PillowTalk. dAvi A has also opened for such talents as Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Tiger & Woods, Tone of Arc, Pezzner, Benoit & Sergio, Mark E, Clockwork and many more in SF. Taking in aspects from all genres of dance music, he created a rare taste of exceptional electronic music. Using Nu Disco, Disco, Synth, Indie, Acid, House and Tech-House, with a touch into the darker side of music, and taking risks, his sound is sure to be called “quality.”
In May 2012 dAvi A relocated to Los Angeles to share and pursue his sound, and is currently getting involved in the DTLA movement and L.A. nightlife. Having gigs at some of L.A's funnest underground events, such as the former Making Shapes, Disco Dive @ The Standard Hotel Downtown, and others. He is currently back and forth between San Francisco and Los Angeles, playing gigs in both cities underground nightlife scene.

PØRKCHOP
There’s a wild Jungle, full of crazy freaks, beats and treats….a Jungle bursting with the sound of techno and booty movin bass…where the tribe leaders know no limits and the wilder, the better. Spawned from a burnt turd, deep within that Jungle came the wildest freak of them all…Porkchop…
Jungle tribe leader Mikey Lion is an innovator of his tech-house sound, and it was inevitable that his little brother and best friend Porkchop followed in his lead. After being introduced to the ever inspiring duo Daft Punk in 2007, Porkchop began his lifelong love affair with electronic music. Shortly after, a trip to Barcelona sparked a change in Mikey and Porkchop’s ever evolving musical tastes. This new tech-house sound was emerging in all the house music capitals of the world and it changed Porkchop’s style and sound for good. The brothers began their quest to live, eat, sleep and breathe techno.
His deep seated techno roots eventually evolved into a shared love for anything tech, including his signature tech-house sound, those undeniable bootylicious beats he plays so well. Heavily influenced by the infamous San Francisco Dirtybird label, those tech house booty-tech beats have officially become Porkchop’s signature sound. Jungle’s eventual pairing with San Diego’s purveyor of all things deep and sexy, aka Lovelife, spawned a mega family of tech house-deep house-techno loving Jungle lovers. That’s a whole lotta love, and Porkchop is at the center of it all.
From playing marathon 6 hour sets at Burning Man, to any and every city’s post BM decompression…from Jungle parties to Lovelife afterparties, Porkchop is the best version of himself when dj’ing. From opening up for one of his heroes, Lee Burridge, to throwing a wildly successful desert parties (Desert Hearts- 44 hours of house and techno in the Mojave Desert). Porkchop will party the hardest, play the hardest and without a doubt, get those booty’s pumpin the hardest.

MARBS
The only thing constant in life is change; a constant cycle of adaptation and rearrangements. The power to dictate how those changes affect your life is in your hands and in your heart. Undying hard work on whatever it is you love to do, a spirit of optimism, and always surrounding yourself with positive friends and goosebump-ilicious music is the key to alleviate the stressors of change.
Those principles run deep in San Diego DJ and Burning Man enthusiast, Marbs. Everything changed for Marbs during a music festival in college when he saw Lee Burridge at the civic center in San Francisco during Love Fest, back when they still brought burning man art cars and parades through the city. That experience changed his musical outlook tremendously and ever since, Marbs has surrounded himself with that deep, tribal, sexy goodness.
As papa bear for the Desert hearts crew and a resident sexecutive DJ for Lovelife, Marbs is continually on the cutting edge of deep house and techno music. Inspired by Burning Man, this playa connoisseur, along with his band of desert dancing junkies, host a slew of underground open air gatherings; including their latest endeavor, Desert Hearts. His sound can be described as deep, dark, sexy, and tech. With dream-like melodies and hard thumping beats, Marbs takes you on a musical journey each and every time he touches the decks.

MICHAEL PERRY
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Michael was given a front row seat to the world of electronic music at a young age. Having worked in several of the area record stores, including the now defunct yet highly influential Record Time, Michael was lucky enough to have access to the newest and freshest records coming out from the talented artists that Detroit is well known for. Cutting his teeth in the Detroit underground, Michael played around Detroit until 2003 when the desire for new surroundings took him west.
Since arriving in San Francisco, Michael has hosted a variety of different nights that show the diverse range of styles and interests he has. Minimal nights, ambient monthlies and house and techno weeklies are just some of the projects he's been involved with. Now he finds himself as a resident of Listed Productions Play parties that happen every month at the End Up in San Francisco.
Michael's diverse style ranges from deep house to hard techno and can go in either direction very quickly. His talents have taken him from the Mayan Warrior art car at Burningman to the BPM festival in Mexico as well as across the US. This ascending star shows no sign of dimming any time soon.
