SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Asteroid Hunters & Cosmic Crafts in African Hall:
6:00-10:00 pm, Mingle with asteroid hunters from B612 Foundation and learn how the Sentinel space telescope will "see" asteroids while in orbit. Check out a model of the LADEE spacecraft and demos of the Lunar & Mapping Portal from NASA’s Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute. Plus, examine a selection of meteorites, Moon rocks, and Mars samples!
Meet astrophysicists from Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology and go back in time with an interactive "Telescopes in Time" game from Berkeley Space Sciences Laboratory. Learn about the many advances astronomers have made in observing the far reaches of our solar system and beyond!
Participate in a "Space Plushie" hands-on sewing workshop with GoGo Craft and learn how to make your very own space-themed mini felt astronaut, retro rocket ship, planet, or alien. All materials, tips, and tricks provided!
Spaceship Simulation in the Coral Reef (Lower Level):
7:00-10:00 pm, Jump aboard the USS Loma Prieta for a live, computer-powered spaceship simulation by the San Francisco Star Trek Group (spacecraft operating experience not required).
Live Music & Bowie Covers in the Piazza:
9:00 pm, Check ignition and prepare for a sparkly cosmic spectacle by David Bowie cover cult band The First Church of the Sacred Silversexual. Unleash your inner Bowie and belt to your favorite tunes with a live performance.
DJs in the East Pavilion:
6:00-10:00 pm, Get spacey with NVO DJs Dudhaus & Mista Jones
View Academy Specimens near the Project Lab:
6:30-9:00 pm, Discuss the future of deep sea exploration and view specimens from Academy expeditions with Luiz Rocha.
Cosmic Photobooth by the Swamp:
6:00-10:00 pm, Travel through space at the Snap Yourself! Cosmic Photobooth

Note: The 4-story Rainforest exhibit closes at 7:45pm and planetarium passes are distributed to visitors on a first-come first-served basis. Special programs and lectures may have limited seating and admission will also be made available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
