About Midtown: Midtown is fighting the City government's plan to redevelop their apartment complex in San Francisco's historic Fillmore/Western Addition neighborhood. We cooperatively self-managed Midtown for almost 50 years until the Mayor's Office of Housing suddenly terminated our lease in 2013 and brought in nonprofit developer Mercy Housing to squeeze us out.
