Neighborhood gem

Gialina offers high end pizzas, creative salads, and comforting entres in a casual and cozy neighborhood environment. The first thing you'll notice about this place is that it is busy every night of the week and that staffers and customers interact like old friends. It's a bit off the beaten path but well worth a daytime excursion if you're curious about one of San Francisco's smaller neighborhoods (and it's located convieniently next to BART).
