Unbeatable location, beautiful outdoor area, nice ambiance/vibe... so what's missing? Good food. And good coffee. I admit it, though: I haven't had a coffee/latte/cap in a while at this joint, but it is precisely because the three or four times I did they were just dreadful. I'd say if you want coffee, just cross the street to Peet's.

A popular hangout, food just ok

You don't really come here for the food, but to hang out and meet up with friends or make new ones. The salads are good as is the coffee but the service isn't always the best. But come here anyway. This is the perennial meeting spot and they have events many evenings.
